As a graduate 8/9/2008, it has been a pleasure and a fulfilling experience to know that there is a system out there such as the one Ashworth University has to assist those with busy schedules. Returning from Iraq after 15 months of active duty with the Army, this system and wonderful University turned out to be the best thing I have done for my self enhancement and education level. I could not believe that Ashworth University could have built me up to a level that I feel more confident and motivated enough to encourage others to take advantage of this long distance level of education.
I graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. My grade point average ended up being a 3.7. Achieving this level of education has created a “new me” when talking with young men and women. I also speak with adults that have incredibly busy schedule and procrastinators that blame time for not achieving an educational degree. I explain the importance of an education and have them understand the importance of never stopping learning. I tell them to take advantage of those individuals that want to teach you and make you a more educated individual.
Ashworth did not only teach me that there is a possibility to be better, but because my children have seen me stride to better my ways in my education—I have motivated them to stride for a better education. I have a young son, entering college this year; I have another as a junior in high school looking at college programs, and my youngest son attending college programs on top of his high school program to have what is needed to stay on track with his father.
All this was created by Ashworth without them even trying to convince my children. By educating me, a positive outcome for my family has taken place. I thank all the Ashworth instructors and everyone from the receptionist to the financial department, for being part of my education growth. The dedication you have for the University is true and I’m honored to know that I’m an Ashworth University graduate.
The time you put forth towards the growth of others is outstanding and deserves the recognition it receives every single day. I thank you all and hope to see you all soon on my next degree!
